Paddy receiving
Paddy is received at the mill and weighed in.

Lot identification
Each intake is identified lot-wise for traceability through processing.

Incoming inspection
Paddy is assessed on arrival before it is taken into process.

Pre-cleaning
Straw, dust and foreign matter are separated from the paddy.

Soaking and parboiling
Soaking and parboiling on the INDUSS system.

Controlled drying
Parboiled paddy is dried back to milling condition.

De-husking and milling
Husk is removed and the paddy is milled on the Satake line.

Whitening and polishing
Bran layers are removed to the required degree of polish.

Grading and Sortex
Size grading followed by optical colour sorting.

Final quality checks
Milled rice is checked before packing.

Packing
Packed according to confirmed buyer requirements.

Storage and dispatch
Stored and loaded for dispatch against confirmed orders.
Each stage is operated against the mill’s own production requirements and any specification confirmed with the buyer. Paddy is identified and assessed lot-wise from intake through dispatch.

Incoming

Packing and marking are checked against the confirmed order requirement.
